Cometa Point
At the western end of Mazunte beach a crescent is formed called Punta Cometa or also named Cerro Sagrado.
Punta Cometa is the highest mountain in Mexico in the South Pacific.
Its strategic location allows amazing sunrises and magnificent sunsets to be seen from this area.
It is an important place for the migration of marine species and birds.
The migrations of whales stand out from December to March, appreciating the passage of this species from Punta Cometa does not represent any risk for people or whales.
You can see the migration of pelicans frolicking in capricious shapes in the sky.
